Forged on the farm
Veldsmid — “smith of the veld”. One farmer, one workshop, and a lot of filament.
It started with a broken cap
Out here, things break — and the nearest shop is never close. A cracked drum cap, a reloading block that wasn't quite right, a popper that didn't sit the way the barbel liked. So instead of making another trip to town, our founder sat down in his workshop and designed his own.
A 3D printer on the workbench turned those fixes into proper tools. Friends on neighbouring farms wanted them, then their friends did too. That's how Veldsmid was born.
Made to order, made to last
Every piece is still designed, tested and printed on the farm — in the dust, the heat and the cold it's built for. We print each order when you place it, so there's no warehouse full of stock, just gear made for you.
If it doesn't work in the veld, at the river or on the farm, it doesn't leave the workshop.
